Pirates Visual Story Prompts - Creative Writing Using All 5 Senses

(0)
Pirate creative writing prompts encourage the children to use all 5 senses to write longer, more detailed descriptions about what they can see. The students think about each of their senses in turn, smelling, touching, tasting, hearing and seeing. They make notes about each of these. They then write a full description of the picture. This worksheet will help them to write richer descriptions. These worksheets are a great way of preparing for the KS1 SATs tests and the KS2 SATs tests while still having a lot of fun! You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different locations, ships and pirates being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching set of story prompts. The students could also take five of the laminated photos and create them into a story . The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

35 Winter Theme Photos PowerPoint For Discussion And Building Vocabulary

I have created a great Winter Topic presentation. It has a lot of different uses. There are 35 different winter scenes to discuss. This is a great way for students to explore winter and build up their spoken and written vocabulary. The pictures could be used to create a display. The slides could be looked at in turn or using the next slide, students can pick a number and then discuss what can they see on that particular slide.

I have developed a nice creative writing prompt for students. It helps them bring each of the pictures to life. What can they see, hear, touch, taste and smell in each of the pictures. These writing prompts are a great way of improving their writing skills and making sure their writing becomes richer in detail and more organised in structure. You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different mythical beasts being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching set of story prompts. The students could also take five of the laminated photos and create them into a story . The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

This is a great way to practice for the KS1 SATs tests and the KS2 SATs tests while still having a lot of fun! KS2 Guided Reading Worksheets, Cut Out Thinking Hats And Thinking Hats In Reading Display

Thinking Hats can be found in schools, businesses and a wide range of industries. I have created a set of resources for Key Stage 2 resources to use with almost any reading book. The worksheets are not linked to any book or any particular reading scheme and can be used more than once. These worksheets allow students to examine the same book from 6 different angles and so get a lot more from their reading experiences. These worksheets also provide a real reason to read their books carefully. I have used Thinking Hats a lot in the classroom and have found them to really motivate students to read more. These worksheets can also be used as a useful homework worksheet resource.

KS1 Guided Reading Worksheets For Any Reading Book Scheme

These worksheets are designed to be used time and again with different books. These are designed to be used in guided reading sessions. Many of the worksheets are designed in such a way that a student can complete them independently. However, to get the maximum out of this book, I would highly recommend these worksheets are used to consolidate the learning taking place in the classroom. I hope you enjoy this book and that your students are inspired to take a more active, more motivated role in their own learning.

I have used these sheets very effectively as a way of checking to see if students have read their book and do fully understand what they have read. I hope you enjoy this book and that your students are inspired to take a more active, more motivated role in their own learning.
